six flags more flags..more fun.

On friday RJ and I went to Six Flags for our 11th monthsary/1 year anniversary I was really apprehensive at first, because I'm terrfied of heights and Six Flags has the most scariest rides ever! I mean I thought Knotts was was scary oh boy Six Flags is intense. I'm really glad we went though, because I somewhat got over my fear of heights, but I still get super scared just as I'm about to ride a rollercoaster =X haha I guess that's normal. Overall, we both had fun we didnt get to ride EVERYTHING, but there's always a next time darn Deja Vu for being shut down. IT was SUPER hot though around 90 something degree's so we got on some water rides, and we got super soaked I hate log jammers freakin couple in the back tipped our boat to the side. Soooo, what's the scariest rides?! My vote definetely goes to TATSU (just because youre tipped down on your tummy on this flying affect kinda thing), and definetely GOLIATH the drop seemed to go on forever! Goal for next year: Ride every ride again without closing my eyes =]

SUPERMAN ESCAPE---We didn't get to ride it, but it seemed intense.

GOLIATH---Need I say more?

Jet Streamers---Pretty fun ride it takes you around the park, and it doesnt get you too soaked.

---Waiting in Line.

---At the end of the day we were soaked, our feet ached, but we had so much fun!

lean for life!

Sooo, today is RJ and I's 11th month of togetherness =] not to sound so cheesy, but I really am blessed to have such a wonderful boyfriend. He really is one of a kind, and I couldnt ask for anything more. He makes me happy and I really do thank God everyday for him and our relationship.

OH YEAHHHH....remember that job I mentioned in my previous post?! Well....I got it! Praise God! I got a call earlier requesting that I start on May 26th as a staff nurse ^_^ I'm now part of team Lindora..LEAN FOR LIFE! hahaha.

With that being said we went to Burbank today to celebrate our monthsary, and as we were heading to the entrance we saw this creepy crow just sitting there I guess he/she was trying to cool down from the heat. Everyone passing by stopped and looked at the crow, because it's just so rare to see one...I guess? I personally don't like crows they're creepy it always reminds me of that Alfred Hitchcock movie...Birds? Or something of that sort.... Point is...they're just creepy especially if you see them in large groups.

After that scary encounter with that creepy crow we ate at Steak Escape yummy food and great company =] annnnnnnnd we got free coffee at Gloria Jeans thanks to Valalala.

true life.

Okay, so i was watching True Life: I'm not satisfied with my body (or something like that). Basically, it's about these two people who were once obese, and lost about 200 pounds because they had lap band surgery. Anyway, they lost so much weight but they had excess skin to deal with afterward it was quite disturbing. The other guy was so embarrassed that he would wear a girdle to the point where he couldnt breathe anymore. It was just sad the picture below is not either of the people featured on the show, but I just wanted to give you guys a mental picture. The benefits of lap band surgery are great, because well it helps you lose all the weight of course, but then again you'd still have to deal with all the self-esteem issues that come after it. (sighs)

Anyway, this past weekend was pretty fun. Friday: was spent at RJ's house we watched Baby Mama with Kuya Ron. Well, it was mostly Kuya Ron and I watching, because RJ fell asleep. It's a funny movie Amy Pholer (sp) is hilarious haha that lisp lady was funny. So, around fiveish? I felt an earthquake I thought I was losing my mind, because no one else felt it. But, channel seven's breaking news proved my sanity =] there was a small earthquake near the thousand oaks area I believe. So, afterwards we watched How Its Made and WOW all the details that goes into making a cielo gives me a headache. Around, sixish Ate Rhobie and Kuya Asher come home with Zankou Chicken...yummy and semi-healthy (if you dont eat the chicken skin) pretty cool because they got a free order of some beef thing. haha. After, we watched When I Met You the sort of sequel to KC and Richard's movie, and in my opinion I liked their first movie first...the second's one story line was kind of dumb. Saturday: was spent at where else?! The mall with my grandma and my momma twas fun bought a bag and black sandals yum. Sunday: had dinner with the family afterwards RJ and I headed to glendale to buy my momma a gift for her birthday...we ended up buying her a perfume set...I guess you can never go wrong with perfume?! We met up with Reggie and Mike at H&M after...We discovered there was a spontaneous BBQ at the Gesmundo's again haha funny thing is RJ and Reggie didnt know anything about it. Soooo, again good food and lots of people. We watched 1408 at ate rhobie's room and that movie was pretty trippy, but not as scary as I thought it would be....Monday: I got a call back from the place I interviewed with and the lady said they enjoyed my interview and asked me for refrences so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying I get the job, because it's an awesome job with a great schedule..so please pray for me =] ...Which brings us to Today: We stopped by RJ's house so he can change and he let me drive most of the day (because he is just so awesome for trusting me to drive his car...it's love haha) which went well I still need to practice on some things, but he said I didnt do so bad since I haven't driven in so long. YEP. Okay, that's it for now till the next post enjoy your night kids!

(He didnt get the memo to do a funny face lol)

Wolverine.

I havent blogged in a while, because well I've been busy applying everywhere! Grr, the economy sucks right now thank you so much George Bush =] I bet he's at his ranch right now cleaning horses and having a good laugh jerk. But, I'm really hoping I get this job that I applied for it's something I know will be flexible, and will let me go back to school, because I just want to get my RN license and work with children! SOON. Anyway, the past weekend was pretty fun. Ida came in to visit from her crazy life in Vegas. I love how we (Chancy, Ida, Val, and I) haven't changed in terms of our friendship were still as close. And, that's how it should be true friends no matter the distance and time apart should never have any awkwardness. It is kind of sad though that we have our own lives now, but I'm proud of how each of us have grown up. Anyway, we always know that we'll be there for each other no matter what. So, we had a quick dinner at cheesecake factory friday night and as always Val and Ida lagged it. Chancy and I almost got kicked out of our table, because they supposedly do not hold tables. Overall, it was a nice dinner where we catched up on a lot things..the highlight?! Free ice cream because Val just had to tell the waiter it was somebody's birthday =] too bad we didnt eat at BJ's I really wanted a chocolate chip pazookie. Afterwards, RJ picked me up and we headed to Young Adults Bible study, and while discussing we stumbled upon how you dont really stay in touch with your high school friends I mean you rarely do, and how you can't stay friends with everyone. Like, youre bound to loose some on the way, and I guess that's true. Anyway, Saturday was spent at the mall like always with my grandmother and my momma. I bought a "summer" dress at where else? Forever 21 oh and sandals that only cost 14.99! I love shopping for bargains I rarely ever buy original prices unless it's something I really want. Sunday was a really chill day the weather was great, and the evil spawn from Boston lost so I knew it was going to be a good day haha. As usual we left early to have a family lunch at where else? Bario Fiesta. Thank goodness we ordered something new! Afterwards, we went to Eagle Rock Plaza (aka the real filipinotown) =] and went grocery shopping. I like going there reminds me of the malls back home so it's kind of like me going home but not really. Anyway, RJ picks me up as soon as I get home and we head over to his house for a going away party for daddy pelayo which ended up being a house blessing as well party. We were craving coffee so we decided to go to a mcdonalds by his house, and just as we were pulling away from the drive thru some crazy chinese guy cuts us off annnnd he had the nerve to flick us off. By this time RJ was pissed and was ready to beat down this middle aged chinese man haha. Rj rolls down his window and yells "wanna settle this?!" and the chinese man keeps yapping. So, I'm like "can we just let things go..just stop it" and the chinese guy says (with heavy accent) "no, you tell him to stop it" and I got mad because what the heck? You cut us off and I yell "you cut us off learn how to drive" (it kind of made me laugh because his wife in the passenger seat was just staring off into the distance not caring lol) So, greenlight and he cuts us off again. In conclusion team rj and chinee won =] hahaha. We get to his house annnndddd after a while we watched X-MEN origins the unedited version strings and all hahha it was quite hilarious, but the storyline was good. And, long story short there was a lot of people and a lot of good food yum.

Anyway, I was browsing through myspace and I saw this advertisement...haha, actually it reminded me of the scene in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days where kate hudson photoshops how their kids would look like. I think the little girl looks a lot like RJ and he agrees. I was too lazy to make a little boy....lol

goodnight kiddos!

H E R O.

Webster's Dictionary describes Hero as "one that shows great courage".
Keep them in your prayers they make the world a better place as well as the rest of the unsung heroes who risk their lives to help others.

Happy Resurrection Day!

This lovely post card was made by andrea cenon. I love getting handmade gifts from people, because it shows that they really put in the time, effort, and thought into the gift. Don't get me wrong I like getting store bought gifts as well, but handmade things really warms my heart. Anyway, I finally got my LVN license it's pretty and blue. Now, it's time for me to apply and look for jobs (screams with freight) just kidding. My emotions are really mixed up, I'm excited yet extremely anxious. I know I've spent a year of clinicals and everything, but it's just different now I'm responsible for my own actions, and it's scary. Sometimes, I can't even comprehend that I'm twenty-one now! I guess there's just always a part of me that still wishes I was a kid again. Ah, life was so much easier then. Everything was so carefree and all I worried about was trying to get home early from school to watch Bobby's World. lol. So, my advice to all you younger kids don't try to grow up too fast or wish for time to go by faster, because as you get older you're going to learn that life gets a little harder and responsibilites get even bigger.

I decided I'd write about relationships. No, I am not an expert at it I dont think anyone is, because love is just so unpredictable. It seems like break up season is in the air well not really I just know a few who have. Ah, one of the worst feelings in the world is having to let go of someone you love. Sometimes, though it's for the best, because there's no point in trying to keep a relationship that just doesn't grow anymore. Yes, it's hard and you'll feel sad and want to cry sometimes, but eventually as each day passes you'll realize you made it another day without that person. And, when you least expect it you'll suddenly be okay again. And, for those who have not found love yet I suggest that you don't go looking for it, and wait for it to come to you. Love does as they say come from the person you least expect. (insert rj ^_^) Honestly, it never crossed our minds that we'd ever be together, but as fate would have it we found each other. And, these past ten months have been absolutely wonderful. Sure we have fights here and there , but we try our best to learn from it and move on. He truly is a blessing and its funny how were so a like yet different (makes sense?), but he's heaven sent and I love him <3>

giving in.

Over the years I've come to realize that you can't always please everyone or be friends with everyone. There are just some people that you will never get along with or will never be close with. It used to bother me when I was younger, but now I've realized that friendship shouldnt be complicated, and you should never change yourself to impress others. I've had a lot of friends come and go, and some of those friends have left really good and bad memories. I never want to regret a friendship, because whether it turned out good or bad in the end you learn something from that person. You take it as you get it, soak it in, and then move on. I think I'm in the stage of my life where I know who my true friends are, and I'm thankful for each and everyone of them. (Here's a few of them there's more and they know who they are =])
